evento confing 2025
From May 6-8, Figma once again demonstrated why it is much more than a design tool. During its annual Config 2025 event, Figma presented a set of innovations that not only generated excitement, but also shook up the conversation about the future of collaborative design.
With just four announcements, Figma made it clear that it no longer wants to be just “the design tool,” but the central platform for an entire product team.

What happened at the event?

During the Config conference, Figma announced the launch of four new features that completely transform the platform:
  • Figma Sites: Where you can create websites directly from the design canvas. No need for additional code or plugins.
  • Figma Make: A tool that allows you to turn your designs into visual experiences, mixing design, content and structure. Perfect for building functional prototypes without writing code.
  • Figma Buzz: A space designed for marketing, content and branding teams, where they can create, collaborate and maintain brand consistency without leaving Figma.
  • Figma Draw: A freehand drawing function within the files. Ideal for workshops, brainstorming or quick explanations, which improves communication between team members without having to resort to external tools.

How did the community react?

As soon as Figma Sites was announced, social networks were filled with reactions. On X and LinkedIn, comments were read such as:
"Is Webflow OK? I just saw Figma said ‘I'm going all in’."
Designers and developers shared divided opinions, but most agreed on one thing:
“The future of collaborative design no longer depends on integrating tools, but on centralizing them.”

Everything you can do now in Figma (and you needed more apps before).

Before this announcement, a workflow involved:

With Figma's new features you can now:
  • Design interfaces
  • Prototype experiences
  • Build websites without code
  • Create functional visual experiences
  • Collaborate on content and branding
  • Draw directly on canvas
  • Document ideas and work in context
  • Collaborate in real time
And all from one place, without switching platforms.

What's in it for your team if you centralize everything in Figma?

Centralizing tools is not just a matter of convenience, it's also a strategic advantage. By using a single platform to ideate, design, present and publish, your team:
  • Saves time
  • Reduces friction between design and development
  • Improve communication
  • Gain speed to iterate and launch ideas
Fewer tools can mean more focus and better results

Is your team ready for this new figma?

Wherever you work, Figma's new features represent an opportunity to rethink how your team works. It's no longer just about designing beautifully, but about creating complete experiences without relying on different platforms. So if you haven't yet explored the new features, now may be the ideal time.
